Okay… hi Jess.
I’m smiling already. I can feel it.

Hi–Jess it is me. Do you recognize yourself?

Today was one of those days that just lands differently. Today was just the two of us—me and the man I’m dating.

We spent the whole day together in New York. Walking. Talking. No rush. No plan we had to keep. Just moving through the city and somehow talking about everything—life, ideas, where we’ve been, where we might be going. The kind of conversations that don’t feel rehearsed. They just… unfold.

We’re still platonic.
And somehow that makes it even more meaningful.

At one point, he reached for my hand.
Not dramatic. Not rushed. Just natural—like it made sense. And later… he kissed me. Soft. Intentional. Like he knew exactly what he was doing without needing to prove anything.

What I keep thinking about is how he is with me.

He treats me with real respect. Not performative respect. Not fragile, careful respect. But grounded respect—paired with a masculinity that feels steady and calm, not loud. Protective without being possessive. Confident without being arrogant.

And the most surprising part…
I don’t feel looked at.

I feel seen.

It’s like he looks through me, not at me. He isn’t focused on how I look, or how I present, or what image I’m putting out. He’s present with me. My thoughts. My pauses. The things I don’t say out loud.

That’s new for me.

There was nothing flashy about today.
No big declarations. No rush to define anything.

Just connection. Ease. A sense of safety that feels… earned.

I’m excited—but calm.
Happy—but grounded.

And I think that’s how I know this matters.

Okay.
I just wanted to remember this feeling.

End of day. 💫
